playfully introduced as “Cuban Man In Savannah”; A
>high point of this tune was the aggressive and
self-assured drumming of Ernest Simpson. One could
have easily drawn a straight line between his powerful
polyrhythms and those of 1970s fusion giant Tony
Williams.
